February’s Re-Think, Re-use Tip:
Recycled Knitting Needles!
One of the goals at our center is to find those everyday materials that can be reused rather than thrown out as trash! This month we want to ask you to rethink tossing those paintbrushes that no longer have a use! They are a perfect size and shape for knitting needles! A narrow tip and a thicker base, just use a bit of sand paper on the ends and you now have a knitting needle! Of course, you need two of the same size and shape to make your pair of knitting needles. You can also consider using old chopsticks as perfect knitting needle options for beginners but we recommend paintbrushes as they can be found in all different sizes and thicknesses:) Enjoy this months tip!
